As I get to know California and the Pacific Ocean, it’s all so new and exciting for me to see an endless horizon always offering a constant rhythmic dance of colors and patterns in the sea and sky, a different experience from the more calm waters enveloped by the more cozy island-filled lakes of Muskoka where I grew up.

Ocean Swell

The California coast is magnificent. The Pacific Ocean swells are foaming, breaking and crashing. Each wave is unique with a lifetime that lasts a flash of an instant. Visual music to the eyes.

Paso Vineyard

There’s something magical about the vineyards of California with the rows and rows of never-ending grapevines nestled under expansive, 360 degree sky views; with enchanting sunsets and starry nights. I particularly enjoy glamping in the midst of a vineyard, and whenever possible, paint plein air.

The Wall at Crystal Cove

The Wall is a cliff face at the south end of one of the most beautiful untouched sections of coastline in Orange County, California. It’s amazing to be able to find these pockets of raw coast when millions of people live miles away.
